Y-Live returns to Stambaugh Stadium for two-night event

December 19, 2025

Following Y-Live, Youngstown’s largest annual music event, has been successful in the past three years at Wean Park, but plans to return to where it all began are in motion.

YSU President Bill Johnson shared his excitement about the events’ return to campus as well as the partnership between YSU and JAC Live.

“Bringing Y-Live back to Stambaugh Stadium is a homecoming we’re proud to be part of!  This partnership with JAC Live reflects our shared commitment to the Mahoning Valley and
the role Youngstown State plays as a gathering place for our community,” said President Johnson. “Y-Live celebrates the best of live music and the arts while showcasing our campus to the region and beyond. We’re excited to welcome the Y-Live home.”

This event began in 2017, quickly becoming the area’s defining entertainment event. It featured performances from Zac Brown Band, Florida Georgia Line, and Blake Shelton.

In 2022, the music festival moved to Wean Park and continued to grow over the years, making history again in 2025 when the event transitioned into a two-night experience, featuring John Mayer and Tim McGraw.

This year, Y-Live will be taking place the same weekend as the Summer Festival of the Arts to create a lively celebration of music, art, culture, and community. The Summer Festival of the Arts is scheduled for July 11 and 12 on YSU’s campus.

This year’s Y-Live will continue its two-night format with shows on July 10 and 11.

Artist announcements and ticket information will be released in January.
